Miami International Airport
In collaboration with FPL Energy Services and the State of Florida, McAfee Electric is in the process of bringing MIA into the 21st century with a complete lighting retrofit to improve both light quality and efficiency. This three year project has also involved the addition of frequency drives and new HVAC equipment. Upon completion in early 2011, MIA will rank as one of the most efficient airports in the world.
For almost 20 years McAfee Electric has been the exclusive electrical contractor for Sunfest; the Southeast’s largest Arts and Entertainment Festival. In addition to providing over 4000 amps of power to the three main stages, we power the entire site with our special event equipment. If we can handle Sunfest, we can handle your event as well.
Since completing Office Depot’s 3rd building on their corporate campus, McAfee Electric has been the primary electrical maintenance contractor for Office Depot’s Global Headquarters. With approximately 625,000 square feet of facility, McAfee Electric keeps the lights burning and the computers processing to help the largest office supply retailer continue to grow.
Bethesda Memorial Hospital
Upon completion of the PIOF project at Bethesda Memorial Hospital, McAfee Electric has remained at Bethesda Memorial Hospital for the past thirteen years. In addition to basic maintenance, McAfee Electric also performs various remodel projects and powers the equipment used daily to save lives. Bethesda Memorial Hospital presents a challenging environment to work in and around a functioning hospital and we are pleased to have met these demands for the past thirteen years.
Sunpass Operations Center
McAfee Electric completed a complete retrofit of the Sunpass Data Center in late 2008. Included in the scope of the project were a 1000 kW stand-by generator, 4000 Amp service with complete UPS back-up, and an intense retrofit of the computer lab, complete with over 300 dedicated circuits to the Sunpass systems.
FDOT Generator Installation
In cooperation with FDOT, FPL, and the state of Florida, McAfee Electric installed 1000 kW generators at seven locations on Florida’s Turnpike Toll Plazas, Snapper Creek, Pompano Service, Pompano Opps, Lake Worth, Fort Drum, Glades Road and Ft. Pierce.
A 7,000 square foot custom home on Everglades Island, McAfee Electric provided all of the electrical installation and lighting control.
